Psychic Abilities Telepathy
The Journal of Western Mystery Tradition describes telepathy as "Remote Thinking". Communication between two individuals is accomplished by visualizing and then addressing the person you wish to send a message to. The message is transmitted by the power of fixed thought, operating on the astral light. Trickier than sending is receiving the message. The major prerequisite is that the receiver must make their mind completely still.
This communication between two minds without the use of any other tool is considered a part of ESP, or extra-sensory perception. Scientists seem unable to prove telepathy one way or another. The methodology is usually flawed in the studies. I think a major difference between telepathy and other powers, such as clairvoyance is that there is hardly any historical record of it. Many cultures, histories, and faiths have stories of clairvoyance. From the Bible to Native American stories there are many examples of psychic behaviors. Prophecies (seeing and predicting the future) abound in ancient history. Telepathy, however, is rarely mentioned.
What does telepathy allow us to do then? Sometimes called "pushers", people with telepathic powers are described as people who can send ideas and "push" someone to do or think something. Think of the Jedi. Many real and fictional accounts of alien life forms suggest that this is how aliens communicate. Another element to telepathy is that every message, every memory, is imprinted on our minds, in our Akasha. Akashic records make it possible to not only retrieve details from our own lives, but also someone else's past live. If past lives are of interest to you, telepathy may be able to assist you.
It seems that of the forms of esp, telepathy is the hardest to use, and hardest to prove. If you could send your thoughts to the receptive mind of another and influence that person, it seems to take away some freedom of choice in the other person. All power must be used responsibly. If you are interested in expiring telepathy, it seems that getting a mentor would be a good idea.
